In 2022 52% of the places offered on March 1st were turned down.

Surely no other school is rejected by over half the families who are offered places especially a school that so many
families are interested in.

The open day is now restricted to those who have applied to sit the exam this year because the school has become so popular.

So Y4 parents do not have a chance to attend the open day before they start preparing for the exams.

QE boys have done the same thing. Perhaps both schools are actively attempting to reduce the number of applicants.

DAO on the other hand throw open their doors on open day to anyone who wishes to attend.

So after all that work why are so many places turned down at HBS, DAO, Latymer & QE?

40% of the place offered at DAO have been turned down,

Is it simply a case that it is a free mock and there was no real intention to take up a place at these schools?

@Daogroupie - how do you arrive at 40% for DAO? Is that directly from the school ? if the last ranked position to get an offer ends up at 132 (at the end of the summer) and there are 65 places doesn't that make the final rejection rate ( for any reason) = 100% - (65/132) = 51%

what have I missed ?
