For Parmiter’s a maximum of 3 places will be offered to pupils living out of area based on results of the SW Consortium test. The rest of the “academic” places are available only to people living in one of the priority postcodes.
I have a question about address move and wondering if anyone has any experience with this recently.
I'm currently out-of-council and if I move permanently to one of the priority postcode of Parmiter's after 31st Oct and before 2nd Dec(Cut-off date as per Heartfordshire council), will the council and school consider my application in the first round of allocation with the new address. I've asked the school and they says below:
If the main address has changed recently or temporarily, for example where a family is renting a property on a Short Term Tenancy Agreement (12 months or under), then the parental address remains that at which the parent was resident before the period of temporary residence began, unless it can be shown that all ties to the previous address have been relinquished, or that the move is not easily reversible. The Academy Trust may refuse to base an allocation on an address which might be considered only a temporary address. Parmiter’s School is an autonomous admitting authority and as such will make the decision as to whether or not to accept a change of address during the secondary transfer process.
My concern is the below text:
Parmiter’s School is an autonomous admitting authority and as such will make the decision as to whether or not to accept a change of address during the secondary transfer process.
Could someone have any experience? Thanks!
