Hi, welcome to the forum.

118 is close and there is a chance a selection review will be successful, though there are many factors involved in this, and no guarantees. Last year there were 116 Selection reviews of which 41 were successful (35%).

Would you be able to share her score breakdowns in the three areas? It would help her if she only fell short in one section, as one of the reasons commonly given for an unsuccessful review is not passing two out of the three subsections.

Is she a pupil-premium pupil? some schools (Becky High, Burnham and possibly others) have some pupil premium priority places for children scoring 115-120, though it may require seperate registration with the school.

Regarding the SR itself, living in temporary accommodation away from Bucks due to moving house is not likely to carry much weight as quite a few families do seem to move into Bucks in the year 5-6 border. The SR extenuating circumstances they consider are more things like family bereavement, child or relative severe illness, sudden emotional upset immediately around the exam day. also admin errors or similar.
Results of private mocks or passing other area’s exams are not accepted as proof of high achievement (as the panel can’t verify them)

The SR should hopefully be supported by the head teacher
and it’s evidence of high academic performance in school so far (and predicted good KS2 grades, ideally all Greater Depth predicted) that is likely to support her SR the best.

Good luck.
