Someone did a FOI request for the number of candidates per age standardised score https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/ ... ng-2841138 so I knocked up a quick chart to show the cumulative number of candidates per score.
Its quite interesting how the standardisation has standardised the scores the same year on year (I guess that's kind of the point). Parents saying that this year was particularly hard and that the their DD scored lower than expected are wrong as the standardisation has corrected for any differences in difficulty.
The year on year difference in offer day min score is purely down to the number of children that decide to go to a different school over Newstead. At a rough guess its about 50-70 for offer day so my estimate for this year's offer day min score will be 224-226
