Hi, Maidenhead has no grammar schools so is not going to have any cachement grammars. They do have very decent comprehensives though: have you looked at those?
The four Slough grammars have individual criteria so look at all four schools websites. Hershel and Upton have score-based places so a high scoring child could get a place from Maidenhead, but it’s not a priority area as >2 miles from
both schools. you do have to get child to the schools though: Hershel is further from Slough station and the traffic is tricky at school time. Upton and St Bernards are walking distance from Slough Station.
Historically (several years ago) children from Maidenhead used to get into Burnham Grammar School (BGS) taking the Bucks 11 plus exam, but the out of cachement admissions have tightened hugely in recent years and last year the March allocation was under 2 miles from the school, so Maidenhead is too far away. You could move to Burnham instead but then the non selective options are more limited if child does not pass as there is no general entry school (the E-Act Burnham Academy closed a few years ago, locals are campaigning for a new school there but presently children have to bus out to Bourne End school.)
