After the Easter break, Tiffin made "about 20" offers. The school was somewhat vague, but they left the impression that these offers corrected the mistake with age weighting, rather than drawing from the waiting list as in previous years. They also indicated that they only discovered their mistake with age weighting because of a parent querying the calculation of their son's combined score. Shocking!
In any case, unless you are at the very top of the waiting list, it doesn't seem sensible to assess one's chances of receiving an offer based on movements on the waiting lists in previous years. For this, we have too little information from the school and I doubt that the school would provide much more information without Freedom of Information requests...
