Was that a specific school? Redbridge always had this requirement, but not CSSE (Taking a photograph on the day of the child being presented to take the test is relatively new. Previously, it was accepted that parents would act honestly, but the rumour at the time was that it was an incident involving SHSG which led to the procedure being brought in).I remember ID checks being done by the CSSE ahead of the exam day. We had to provide a passport sized photo along with a form signed by the school to verify that it was our child in the photo. This was 2022.
I can't see anything in the CSSE information for parents about having to have a photograph countersigned by thr primary school.
