Can;t speak for those schools but whether or not children do extra-curric / after school stuff is very unpredictable. Mine could see their schools from home and while they did a couple of lunchtime things, they didn't hang around at the end of the day - certainly for the first few years. They were involved in music and sport at the weekend and that was enough for them.
