MATHS • help with a question please - sequences

How would you work out the answer to increasing gaps in a sequence? Working out the 100th number for example.

so the sequence would be for example 3 7 12 18 25 33 42. The gap increases by 1 each time (4,5,6,7,8,9 etc)

Is there a formula for finding the nth term? I can only find a formula when the gap is the same each time.

Thanks
