Obviously we don't know yet what the AQS will be in March, or indeed the score of the last offered child in your category ?cat4, so you can't really compare her score to the AQS until then but hopefully she will have got near the AQS. The important thing is the AQS this year, not what it was last yearI sort of want to say that academically she achieved the AQS of last year while being significantly disadvantaged so she is clearly capable but while true I don't know how advisable that would be?
The important bit anyway will be to demonstrate academic ability (hopefully her score will be round about the AQS) and the extenuating circumstances (might benefit from having any assessment reports particular if the diagnosis has taken place since the test) - also reports from school demonstrating that things have improved since the diagnosis and use of overlays etc
It is also possible that you will have to demonstrate "why RHS?" - it would help if you spoke to SENCO there about what is available as you can mention this in an appeal. Better have something concrete than the assumption that they can help her more at RHS
remember also it would be "why RHS is the right school" and not "why alternate school is the wrong place for her"
